Pay starts at $18.45/hour with significant room to grow! Pay raises are expected as you take on more responsibilities around the store, such as running our TCG events and handling buys.
The two main aspects of the job are online and in store.
Online: you’ll be making listings for our eBay store (mostly bulk comic lots, but a smattering of other products as well).
In the store: you’ll be helping customers, cashiering, and keeping the store neat, stocked, and orderly.
Over time, as you establish yourself here, you may take on further responsibilities such as involvement in specific game lines (events, ordering, inventory). Typically these additions will result in increased pay.
Help customers on the floor and answer detailed product questions (condition, edition, etc)
Operate the register and handle basic POS tasks
Photograph, describe, price, and list items on eBay
Communicate with customers in writing - this is why clear, correctly spelled, and adequately punctuated English is important.
Price items accurately
Keep sales floor and warehouse organized
Strong written English — you'll be writing listings and customer messages daily
Comfortable with practical math — pricing, markups/markdowns, and percentages come up constantly
Some familiarity with comics, TCGs, or vintage games/toys is a big plus
Broad, consistent availability
Looking for someone planning to stay a while, not a short-term "try it out" gig
Reliable and detail-oriented
Note that you must be 18 or over to apply.
Send your resumee/cv + cover letter to savers@superspacecat.com with:

Answer a quick math question (and be ready to demonstrate math skills in your interview): What is 1/3 × 1/3?
Your general weekly availability, and any recurring time-off needs we should know about upfront (school and other classes, family obligations, and so on)
A sentence on what you're looking for long-term
We will also accept physical applications! Just print out your resumee/cv + cover letter and the other application requirements and drop it off with a SpaceCateer in store
